The project (CUP E34H23000780007), funded by the Emilia-Romagna Region under PR FESR 2021-2027 – ACTION 1.2.2: CALL FOR THE DIGITALIZATION OF THE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF LIBRARIES, HISTORICAL ARCHIVES, MUSEUMS AND OTHER INSTITUTES AND PLACES OF CULTURE, envisages the implementation of the Documentation Center’s digital library with digitization, metadata, and description of the LGBT+ historical memory cultural heritage, development of new ways to use open access documents on the thematic platform, new narratives through digital technologies, and digital environments to educate about cultural heritage, stimulate user participation with user-centered systems, engage new audiences, and promote educational activities that, by enhancing heritage in an innovative way, serve to promote, especially in future generations, a culture of rights to prevent prejudice and discrimination.

 

The expected results of this project are:

• Increased availability of digital documents and access to non-specialist heritage, improved interaction with user communities, ability to meet information needs, accessibility/elimination of barriers, document protection, dissemination of LGBT+ historical and cultural heritage, technological and digital innovation,
  generation of new narratives, creation of crowdsourced archives and active participation of user communities, creation of relationships, development of new teaching and learning methods, interactive digital products and services.
